$15 artwork!? For the show I made some Microprint/collages that sold for £60/€60/$86/500 dkr - one is still available but I felt that microprinting (really just stamping, but it is essentially a very quick and easy way to produce a print) could be explored further, this face had become the hero image of the show and the ultimate symbol of that applied and superficial beauty the Naiiad are, so nothing could be more fitting than to apply these to found paper. Furthermore, I wanted to use an interesting concept I had learnt to appreciate when I was involved in the "designer toy scene" - blind boxing. The idea is that you don't know what you're getting, think Kinder surprise or lucky dips. I like this concept as it adds a childlike excitement to opening packages.
