My cohort Jimmi's background in product design made the research bit quite organized and it lasted longer than it normally does with graphic design. At the best of times, graphic designers are always researching a bit and we tend to just throw ourselves at the idea-generation more than product designers, but seeing both sides was brilliant. I also think the two teachers system was interesting. It's a rule they have at The Scandinavian Design College and besides providing plenty of technical help to the students, they're also exposed to two (sometimes opposing) opinions. read on
