Now, teaching 60 students is not ideal and there was no time for a formal crit or presentation so I made then make stalls and sell or swap their ware - another tricky situation, but the best we could do with the time. These students are an extremely nice bunch and the idea of free market is not nice, if your product doesn't appeal, it doesn't sell. This is a harsh reality and some of them found very clever ways of avoiding that situation, in one of the pictures you'll see a miniature lake with paper swans in it, you'd fish for a swan and then, based on a number on the bottom of the swan, get a random zine.
For the zine swap I made an animated sign out of arrows photographed from the students' materials and projected it on to the wall outside our room.
